The shortest day of the year...We are on the turn to Springtime...will we see the ray of light at the end of the tunnel by then…?

There have been 2,375 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 562,333. There were coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths has gone up to 6,522. The infection rate in Wales has risen again and is now at 575 per 100,000 people a substantial jump on the 548.4 reported on Monday.  For more information on the Covid figures released on Tuesday go to Wales Online...

The area in Wales currently with the highest infection rate is Anglesey with 815.2 cases per 100,000 people followed by Flintshire with 675.2 and Cardiff with 670.7 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 153 cases reported today with 56 in Carmarthenshire, 49 in Pembrokeshire and 48 in Ceredigion. As of December 20, there were 431 people in general and acute hospital beds with coronavirus (confirmed, suspected, and recovering), a fall on the 447 last reported on December 17.
