There
have been 2,462 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW
bringing the total cases to 532,302. There were 9 coronavirus
deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 6,476. The
infection rate in Wales is now 504.6 per 100,000 people a
fall on the 507.1 reported on Thursday. For more

The area with the highest infection rate is Anglesey with 840.9 cases per 100,000 people followed by Gwynedd with 789.2 and Wrexham with 617.8 per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 191 cases reported today with 121 in Carmarthenshire, 42 in Pembrokeshire and 28 in Ceredigion.
As of December 9, there were 515 people in general and acute hospital beds with coronavirus (confirmed, suspected, and recovering), a rise on the 482 reported on December 8.
