Tuesday dawns with lower case numbers today...still a way to go yet tho...


There have been 1,931 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 493,471. There were 4 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 6,361. The infection rate in Wales now stands at 511.1 per 100,000 people a drop on the 521 reported on Monday.  For more information on the Covid figures released on Monday go to Wales Online...


The area with the highest infection rate is the Gwynedd with 886.3 cases per 100,000 people followed by Vale of Glamorgan with 676 and Monmouthshire with 582.5 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 201 cases reported today with 112 in Carmarthenshire, 70 in Pembrokeshire and 19 in Ceredigion.

As of November 22 there were 644 people in general and acute hospital beds with coronavirus (confirmed, suspected, and recovering), a fall on the 653 reported on November 19.
