There
have been 2,154 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW
bringing the total cases to 495,724. There were 7 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so
the total number of deaths has risen to 6,368. The infection
rate in Wales now stands at 502 per 100,000 people a
rise on the 511.1 reported on Tuesday. For more information on the Covid figures

The area with the highest infection rate is the Gwynedd with 855 cases per 100,000 people followed by Vale of Glamorgan with 652.8 and Monmouthshire with 584.6 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 216 cases reported today with 120 in Carmarthenshire, 82 in Pembrokeshire and 14 in Ceredigion.
As of November 23 there were 614 people in general and acute hospital beds with coronavirus (confirmed, suspected, and recovering), a fall on the 644 reported on November 22.
