There
have been 2,377 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW
bringing the total cases to 498,101. There were 9 coronavirus deaths reported today by PHW shows the total number of deaths to date now rises to 6,377. The infection
rate in Wales now stands at 499.9 per 100,000 people a slight drop on the 502 reported on Wednesday. For more information on the Covid figures

The area with the highest infection rate is the Gwynedd with 854.2 cases per 100,000 people followed by Vale of Glamorgan with 661 and Monmouthshire with 574.1 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 323 cases reported today with 169 in Carmarthenshire, 127 in Pembrokeshire and 27 in Ceredigion.
As of November 24 there were 587 people in general and acute hospital beds with coronavirus (confirmed, suspected, and recovering), a fall on the 614 reported on November 23.
