Start of a new week...Case rates are up and life is still not anywhere near normal...

 

There have been 4,520 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 475,375. There were 13 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 6,295. The infection rate in Wales now stands at 482.1 per 100,000 people a rise from the 469.3 reported on Monday. For more information on the Covid figures released on Thursday go to Wales Online...

The area with the highest infection rate is Torfaen with 594.5 cases per 100,000 people followed by Gwynedd with 557.2 and Cardiff with 552.2 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 491 cases reported today with 287 in Carmarthenshire, 166 in Pembrokeshire and 38 in Ceredigion.
