There have been 2,134 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases
to 465,413. There were 12 coronavirus deaths reported by
PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 6,272. The infection rate in Wales now stands at 489.5 per 100,000 people falling from the 510.4 reported on Wednesday. For more

The area with the
highest infection rate is still Torfaen with 677.9 cases per 100,000 people followed by Vale of Glamorgan with 646 and Neath Port Talbot with 584 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board reports 257 cases today with 146 in Carmarthenshire, 74 in Pembrokeshire and 37 in Ceredigion.
