There have been 2,171 new cases of
coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 463,279. There
were 18 coronavirus deaths reported
by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 6,260. The
infection rate in Wales now stands at 510.4 per 100,000 people another
drop on the 527.7 reported on Tuesday. For more information on the Covid figures

The area with the highest infection rate is the Vale of Glamorgan with 705.9 cases per 100,000 people followed by Torfaen with 705.6 and Caerphilly with 601.4 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 200 cases reported today with 112 in Carmarthenshire, 65 in Pembrokeshire and 23 in Ceredigion.
