Infection rates fall for the 6th day in a row...turning the corner...?

There have been 2,210 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 445,163. There were 10 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 6,177. The infection rate in Wales now stands at 548.2 per 100,000 people a fall on the 558.9 reported on Monday.  For more information on the Covid figures released on Monday go to Wales Online...

The area with the highest infection rate is Torfaen with 776.9 cases per 100,000 people followed by Vale of Glamorgan with 723.9 and Caerphilly with 703.6 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 258 cases reported today with 110 in Carmarthenshire, 116 in Pembrokeshire and 32 in Ceredigion.
