Cardiff and Swansea leading the way with the highest numbers of new cases...

There have been 2,492 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 447,655. There were coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 6,184. The infection rate in Wales now stands at 546.2 per 100,000 people a small fall on the 548.2 reported on Tuesday.  For more information on the Covid figures released on Monday go to Wales Online...


The area with the highest infection rate is Torfaen with 761 cases per 100,000 people followed by Vale of Glamorgan with 741.8 and Caerphilly with 730.1 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 197 cases reported today with 104 in Carmarthenshire, 66 in Pembrokeshire and 27 in Ceredigion.
