There have been 1,784 new cases of
coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 461,109. There
were 5 coronavirus deaths reported
by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 6,242. The
infection rate in Wales now stands at 527.7 per 100,000 people another
drop on the 536.9 reported on Monday. For more information on the Covid figures

The area with the highest infection rate is the Vale of Glamorgan with 753.1 cases per 100,000 people followed by Torfaen with 720.5 and Caerphilly with 659.9 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 182 cases reported today with 127 in Carmarthenshire, 44 in Pembrokeshire and 11 in Ceredigion.
