There have been 2,456 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 484,744. There were 8 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 6,342. The infection rate in Wales now stands at 512.5 per 100,000 people a rise from the 504 reported on Thursday. For more information on the Covid figures released on Thursday go to Wales Online...

The area with the highest infection rate is Gwynedd with 709.7 cases per 100,000 people followed by Vale of Glamorgan with 682 and Torfaen with 573.6 cases per 100,000 people. The Hywel Dda Health Board shows today there are 275 cases reported in total with another  145 in Carmarthenshire, 107 in Pembrokeshire and 23 in Ceredigion.
