End of another week approaching...numbers not reducing by much and the deaths appear to be rising...

 

There have been 2,576 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 482,288. There were 20 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths rises to 6,334. The infection rate in Wales now stands at 504 per 100,000 people a rise on the 498 reported on Wednesday.  For more information on the Covid figures released on Monday go to Wales Online...

The area with the highest infection rate is the Gwynedd with 694 cases per 100,000 people closely followed by the Vale of Glamorgan with 685 and Monmouthshire with 569 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 311 cases reported today with 152 in Carmarthenshire, 124 in Pembrokeshire and 35 in Ceredigion.
