With Halloween approaching the numbers appear to be writing its own horror story...

 

There have been 3,200 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 404,844. There were coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 6,037. The infection rate in Wales now stands at 585.1 per 100,000 people continuing to rise from the 560.4 reported on Monday. For more information on the Covid figures released on Thursday go to Wales Online...

The area with the highest infection rate is Torfaen with 822.7 cases per 100,000 people followed by Cardiff with 779.2 and Pembrokeshire with 760.6 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 322 cases reported today with 125 in Carmarthenshire, 146 in Pembrokeshire and 51 in Ceredigion.
