Middle of the week and there is no respite...Deaths and cases still too high...

 

There have been 3,450 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 408,294. There were 13 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 6,050. The infection rate in Wales now stands at 617 per 100,000 people continuing to rise from the 585.1 reported on Tuesday. For more information on the Covid figures released on Thursday go to Wales Online...  

The area with the highest infection rate is Torfaen with 878 cases per 100,000 people followed by Blaenau Gwent with 861.7 and Cardiff with 795.3 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 387 cases reported today with 233 in Carmarthenshire, 107 in Pembrokeshire and 47 in Ceredigion.


Covid-19 vaccine update: 2,419,276 people in Wales have now had their first vaccine dose. 2,237,199 people in Wales are now fully vaccinated. 12-15 year olds are now eligible for one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, you’ll be contacted by your health board.

Here's a wee video of two fantastic pets who are sadly no longer with us, we had 15 years of their company and it was a sad time for all of us when they left us for the rainbow cloud... Happy times they were but Taffy the Yorkie and Murphy the Bedlington Terrier will be hard to replace but we now have Alfie the Yorkie and soon take delivery of Bertie the Bedlington puppy...If these two come anywhere close to the two that watch over us every day then I will see out my days a happy man...
