Still a high number of new cases reported, some areas of Wales the numbers continue to rise...

 

There have been 2047 new cases of coronavirus reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 384,250. There was coronavirus death reported today by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 5,974. The infection rate in Wales has dropped slightly to 514.8 per 100,000 people a decrease on the 515.1 reported on Monday. For more information on the Covid figures released on Friday go to Wales Online...

The area with the highest infection rate is Vale of Glamorgan with 702.9 cases per 100,000 people followed by Torfaen with 692.8 and Cardiff with 637 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 310 cases reported today with 165 in Carmarthenshire, 119 in Pembrokeshire and 26 in Ceredigion.
