There have been 3400 new cases of coronavirus reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 372,029. There were 8 coronavirus deaths reported today by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 5,942. The infection rate in Wales is now 489.4 per 100,000 people a drop on the 507.3 reported on Wednesday.  For more information on the Covid figures released today go to WalesOnline...

The area with the highest infection rate is Torfaen with 682.2 cases per 100,000 people followed by Vale of Glamorgan with 626.6 and Denbighshire with 594.6 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 422 cases reported today with 228 in Carmarthenshire, 133 in Pembrokeshire and 61 in Ceredigion.

RESIDENTS in Carmarthenshire are being warned to stay vigilant following reports of a Covid-19 vaccine pass scam. The Welsh Government is warning people that the NHS is not sending out invitations for Covid passes.
