There have been 2,664 new cases of
coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 432,395. There
were 12 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number
of deaths has risen to 6,134. The infection rate in Wales now
stands at 671.3 per 100,000 people lower than
the 699.7 reported on Wednesday. For more information on the Covid figures

The area with the highest infection rate is Blaenau Gwent with 1,026.3 cases per 100,000 people followed by Torfaen with 973.8 and Caerphilly with 907.4 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 286 cases reported today with 87 in Carmarthenshire, 138 in Pembrokeshire and 61 in Ceredigion.

Hywel Dda health board bans visitors over rising cases...
A
health board has suspended visitors at all of its hospitals due to high numbers
of Covid cases. Hywel Dda University Health Board
said visitors would be allowed with prior arrangement in some instances, such
as end of life and critical visits. Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and
Pembrokeshire, the counties in the health board area, each have Covid case
rates above 600 per 100,000 people.
