There have been 2,561 new cases of
coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 434,956. There
were 7 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number
of deaths has risen to 6,141. The infection rate in Wales now
stands at 653.1 per 100,000 people a drop on the 671.3
reported on Thursday. For more

The area with the highest infection rate is Blaenau Gwent with 930.4 cases per 100,000 people followed by Torfaen with 928 and Caerphilly with 868.1 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 341 cases reported today with 161 in Carmarthenshire, 138 in Pembrokeshire and 42 in Ceredigion.
