New case numbers much lower today... still too high but gives hope that the path before us is starting to clear...

 


There have been 1758 new cases of coronavirus reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 366,624. There were coronavirus deaths reported today by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 5,926. The infection rate in Wales is now 530.5 per 100,000 people a drop on the 559.4 reported on Monday.  For more information on the Covid figures released today go to Wales Online...

The area with the highest infection rate is Torfaen with 691.8 cases per 100,000 people followed by Neath Port Talbot with 662.9 and Caerphilly with 635.1 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 273 cases reported today with 156 in Carmarthenshire, 98 in Pembrokeshire and 19 in Ceredigion.

Covid-19 vaccine update: 2,385,134 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine. 2,226,140 people in Wales are now fully vaccinated. 12-15 year olds are now eligible for one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, you’ll be contacted by your health board.

Today’s numbers of new Covid cases in the local areas of Llanelli… 


Lliedi Ward Labour Councillors together with members of the Llanerch Community Group met with Llanelli MS Lee Waters to promote the introduction of the change in the speed limit to 20 MPH on a number of roads within the Lliedi Ward in Llanelli.
