There have been 4,240
new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases
to 412,534. There were 13 coronavirus deaths
reported by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 6,063. The
infection rate in Wales now stands at 651.9 per 100,000 people a
sharp rise from the 617 reported on Wednesday. For more

The area with the highest infection rate is Blaenau Gwent with 1,046 cases per 100,000 people followed by Torfaen with 940.8 and Caerphilly with 874.2 cases per 100,000 people. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 462 cases reported today with 163 in Carmarthenshire, 193 in Pembrokeshire and 106 in Ceredigion.
