2717 new cases of
coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 322,816. There
were 15 coronavirus deaths reported
today by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 5,797. The
infection rate in Wales is now 490.1 per 100,000 people

The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is Neath Port Talbot with 743.8 cases per 100,000 followed by Merthyr Tydfil with 671.4 and Carmarthenshire with 647.9 cases per 100,000. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 205 new cases reported today, 130 in Carmarthenshire, 48 in Pembrokeshire and 27 in Ceredigion.
Covid-19 vaccine update: 2,371,337 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine. 2,206,377 people in Wales are now fully vaccinated.
