Carmarthenshire has achieved highest infection rate in Wales...not something to be proud of...

 

2298 new cases of coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 314,590. There were 10 coronavirus deaths reported today by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 5,770The infection rate in Wales is now 500.1 per 100,000 people down from 510.8 on Tuesday.  For more information on the Covid figures released today go to Wales Online...

The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is Carmarthenshire with 717.3 cases per 100,000 followed by Neath Port Talbot with 704 and Merthyr Tydfil with 702.8 cases per 100,000. Hywel Dda Health Board shows 268 new cases reported today, 161 in Carmarthenshire, 64 in Pembrokeshire and 43 in Ceredigion.

Covid-19 vaccine update: 2,368,524 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine. 2,203,362 people in Wales are now fully vaccinated.
