1728 new cases of coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing
the total cases to 259,883. There were 4 new
coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths rises to 5,651. The
infection rate in Wales is now 226.1 per 100,000 people
up from 209.8 recorded on Thursday. For more

The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is Denbighshire with 397.1 cases per 100,000, followed by Newport with 303.9 cases per 100,000. Hywel Dda Health Board is showing 181 new cases reported today, 60 in Carmarthenshire, 86 in Pembrokeshire and 35 in Ceredigion.
