1480 new cases of
coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 258,155. There
were 2 new coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of
deaths rises to 5,647. The infection rate in Wales is now 209.8 per 100,000 people up from 196.6 on Wednesday. It is the first time Wales has recorded a
seven-day infection rate above 200 since January 27. For more

The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is Denbighshire with 379.3 cases per 100,000, followed by Wrexham with 287.6 cases per 100,000. Hywel Dda Health Board is showing 202 new cases reported today, 74 in Carmarthenshire, 101 in Pembrokeshire and 27 in Ceredigion.
