It appears the trend is in reverse...numbers are climbing an invisible ladder daily...

 

1480 new cases of coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 258,155. There were 2 new coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths rises to 5,647The infection rate in Wales is now 209.8 per 100,000 people up from 196.6 on Wednesday.  It is the first time Wales has recorded a seven-day infection rate above 200 since January 27. The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is Denbighshire with 379.3 cases per 100,000, followed by Wrexham with 287.6 cases per 100,000. Hywel Dda Health Board is showing 202 new cases reported today, 74 in Carmarthenshire, 101 in Pembrokeshire and 27 in Ceredigion.

Covid-19 vaccine update: 2,323,425 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine. 2,153,517 people are now fully vaccinated.
