1626 new cases of coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing
the total cases to 261,509. There were 5 new
coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths rises to 5,656. The
infection rate in Wales is now 245.7 per 100,000 people
up from 226.1 on

The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is Denbighshire with 402.3 cases per 100,000, followed by Newport with 318.1 cases per 100,000. Hywel Dda Health Board is showing 197 new cases reported today, 102 in Carmarthenshire, 55 in Pembrokeshire and 40 in Ceredigion.
