No respite from the positive tests...but no deaths recorded...a bonus...

 

761 new cases of coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 255,302. new coronavirus deaths were reported by PHW so the total number of deaths stays at 5,641The infection rate in Wales is now 184.3 per 100,000 people up from 169.3 recorded on Monday.   For more information on the Covid figures released today go to Wales Online...

The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is Denbighshire with 352.2 cases per 100,000, followed by Conwy with 252.6 cases per 100,000. Hywel Dda Health Board is showing 32 new cases reported today, 18 in Carmarthenshire, 9 in Pembrokeshire and 5 in Ceredigion.

Covid-19 vaccine update: 2,316,668 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine.  2,146,391 people have had their 2nd vaccination and are now fully vaccinated.

From Wednesday 18th August 2021, lateral flow device (LFD) self-test kits will be available for collection from community pharmacies only and not from the COVID-19 testing units sited in Aberystwyth, Llanelli, Haverfordwest and Carmarthen. LFD test kits continue to also be available to order for delivery to your home via the NHS Website.
