A big rise in case numbers reported today...It does cover 48 hours but still a big jump!!!

 


A further 2394 new cases of coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 254,541. 3 new coronavirus deaths were reported by PHW so the total number of deaths rises to 5,641The infection rate in Wales is now 169.3 per 100,000 people up from 156.6 recorded on Sunday. Eighteen of Wales' 22 local authorities saw a rise in their seven-day infection rate. For more information on the Covid figures released today go to Wales Online...

The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is Denbighshire with 339.6 cases per 100,000, followed by Conwy with 244 cases per 100,000. Hywel Dda Health Board is showing 238 new cases reported today, 96 in Carmarthenshire, 88 in Pembrokeshire and 54 in Ceredigion. These numbers cover 48 hours of data.

Covid-19 vaccine update: 2,314,713 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine. Now 2,144,119 people are now fully vaccinated.
