A further 581 new cases of coronavirus have been
reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 243,249. There were no
new coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths remains at 5,616.
The infection rate in Wales is now 139.8 per 100,000 people down from 144.0
the day before. Wales' infection rate has now fallen steadily for more
than a week.
The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is Denbighshire with 358.4 cases per 100,000, followed by Conwy with 267.1 cases per 100,000. Hywel Dda Health Board is showing 47 new cases reported today, 21 in Carmarthenshire, 14 in Pembrokeshire and 12 in Ceredigion.
