Hotter in Wales than the Costa Del Sol...case numbers still on the rise tho...

A further 712 new cases of coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 234,880. There was new coronavirus death reported by PHW so the number of deaths it changes to 5,594.

The infection rate in Wales is now 189.4 per 100,000 people down from 190.1 the day before. It has not been this high since late January. All of Wales' 22 local authorities are now reporting more than 100 positive cases per 100,000 people, apart from Carmarthenshire.

 

The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is now Denbighshire with 505.8 cases per 100,000, up from 493.2 cases on Wednesday, Conwy with 354.9 cases per 100,000 followed by Wrexham with 317.7 cases per 100,000

 

Covid-19 vaccine update:  2,285,118 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine. 1,959,641 people are now fully vaccinated.
