2 days of heat left before the rains come...perhaps it will dampen the figures...

 

A further 941 new cases of coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 234,168. There was 1 new coronavirus death reported by PHW so the number of deaths it changes to 5,590.

The infection rate in Wales has also raised to 190.1 per 100,000 people up on 185.8 the day before. It has not been this high since late January. 19 of Wales' 22 local authorities are now reporting more than 100 positive cases per 100,000 people apart from Carmarthenshire and Neath Port Talbot.


The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is now Denbighshire with 493.2 cases per 100,000, up from 460.8 cases on Tuesday, Conwy with 354.1 cases per 100,000 followed by Wrexham with 323.6 cases per 100,000

 

Covid-19 vaccine update:  2,282,992 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine. 1,933,664 people are now fully vaccinated.
