A further 724 new cases of coronavirus have been
reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 240,019. There were 3 new coronavirus deaths reported by
PHW so the total number of deaths rises to 5,606.
The infection rate in Wales is now 155.2 per 100,000 people down from 156.9 the day before. Wales' infection rate has now fallen steadily over the last week from a peak of more than 200 cases for every 100k people in the preceding week.
The
majority of Wales' 22 local authorities are now reporting more than 100
positive cases per 100,000 people. The area with the highest infection rate in
Wales is still Denbighshire with 406.5 cases per 100,000, followed by Conwy with 324.2 cases per 100,000.
