A further 588 new cases of coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 239,295. There were 6 new coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths rises to 5,603.
The infection rate in Wales is now 156.9 per 100,000 people down from 164.4 the day before. Wales' infection rate has now fallen steadily over the last week from a peak of more than 200 cases for every 100k people in the preceding week.
The majority of Wales' 22 local authorities are now reporting more than 100 positive cases per 100,000 people, nearly all authorities have seen a drop in rates today. The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is still Denbighshire with 423.2 cases per 100,000, followed by Conwy with 318.3 cases per 100,000.
