A great vaccination effort in Wales... over 2m now fully jabbed...

 

 Today's figures represents 48 hours of data...

A further 1,130 new cases of coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 238,003. There were 2 new coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths rises to 5,597.

The infection rate in Wales is now 169.6 per 100,000 people down from 185.2 the day before. It has not been this high since late January. All of Wales' 22 local authorities are now reporting more than 100 positive cases per 100,000 people, with Carmarthenshire and Anglesey and Gwynedd being the exceptions.

The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is now Denbighshire with 484.9 cases per 100,000, followed by Conwy with 334.5 cases per 100,000.

 

Covid-19 vaccine update: 2,289,142 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine. 2,202,162 people are now fully vaccinated.
