Some like it hot...!!!

A further 555 new cases of coronavirus have been reported by PHW bringing the total cases to 233,227. There were no new coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so no change in the number of deaths it remains at 5,589.

The infection rate in Wales has also risen to 185.8 per 100,000 people up on 177.3 the day before. It has not been this high since late January. 19 of Wales' 22 local authorities are now reporting more than 100 positive cases per 100,000 people.

The area with the highest infection rate in Wales is now Denbighshire with 460.8 cases per 100,000, up from 295 cases, followed by Wrexham with 333.2 cases per 100,000 and Conwy with 332.8 cases per 100,000. 


Covid-19 vaccine update:  2,282,992 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the vaccine. 1,933,664 people are now fully vaccinated.
