Numbers up again today... 1 death reported... follow the guidelines to stay safe...

                 

Wales' Covid infection and positivity rate have risen to the highest levels since the end of March as Public Health Wales has recorded one new death from Covid.  Wales' coronavirus case rate is 32.2 per 100,000 people while now 2.6% of people tested in Wales have Covid-19. 

 

The latest death on 19 June, a person who is not a resident of Wales, brings Wales' total Covid death toll 5,573. PHW also reported 213 new cases, 71 of which were reported by Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board which covers North Wales.

It brings the total number of cases to 215,593. The local authority areas with the highest case rates were all in North Wales with Flintshire 86.5 the highest followed by Conwy 86.2 and Denbighshire 75.2. The areas with the lowest were Merthyr Tydfil 6.6%, Blaenau Gwent 10 and Rhondda Cynon Taf 10.8%.


Covid-19 vaccine update: 2,242,482 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. 1,553,091 people are now fully vaccinated.
