It does not get any easier...possible extension of restrictions...

 


There are no further deaths in Wales, reports Public Health Wales. PHW reported 140 new cases, bringing the total to 214,382. Of the new cases 21 were reported in Flintshire, 15 in Denbighshire, 14 in Conwy and 12 in Cardiff.  The number of people who have died with the virus in Wales remains at 5,572. The case rate is 22.5 infections per 100,000 people, a small rise from 22.2 reported on Wednesday.

The weekly case rate per 100,000 people remains highest in Conwy County, rising to 71.7 from 68.3 on Wednesday followed by Denbighshire on 64.8 and Flintshire on 37.2, the lowest rate is Powys 8.3, with Blaenau Gwent at 8.6 and Merthyr Tydfil at 9.9.


Covid-19 vaccine update: 2,225,499 people in Wales have now had their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. 1,454,064 people are now fully vaccinated.
