Bank Holiday over...cases up...remember the guidelines...

 

Covid figures released on Tuesday cover 48 hours up to 09:00 BST on Sunday, 30 May.

 

No more people have died with coronavirus in Wales, according to Public Health Wales. There have been 94 new cases recorded, taking the total of confirmed cases in Wales to 212,796. The total number of deaths remains at 5,569. Wales' case rate has dropped slightly to 8.0 for every 100,000 people. 15 of the new cases were in Cardiff, with 9 in Conwy and 7 each in Denbighshire and Wrexham. 6 cases or fewer were recorded in fourteen other local authority areas.

Bridgend has the highest case rate in Wales at 21.8 per 100,000 people in past seven days, followed by Conwy 17.9 and Neath Port Talbot 14.7. Anglesey has the lowest case rate at 1.4, followed by Rhondda Cynon Taf 2.5 and Ceredigion 2.8.

 

Vaccination update:  2,147,274 have now had at least one dose, while 1,118,396 people have had the full vaccine course.

 

Wednesday's data will cover the 48-hour period up to Tuesday at 09:00.
