data will cover 48 hours up to 09:00 on Sunday.
No further deaths of people with
Covid-19 have been reported in Wales, according to Public Health Wales. It means the total number of deaths reported by PHW remains at
5,550. A further 79 positive cases have been reported, bringing the total to
211,573. The seven-day rolling case rate stands at 10.8 per 100,000 people. Thirteen
positive cases were reported in Cardiff followed by nine in Swansea, eight in
Caerphilly County and another eight in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
A total of 1,854,687 people 58.8% of the
population have had a first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine and 769,719 people 24.4%
have had both doses of a vaccine and are fully vaccinated.
We are aware the coronavirus
vaccine stops us from becoming seriously ill, but we don't know if it can stop people
from passing the virus to others. Even after vaccination, everyone still needs
to follow the rules, like keeping 2m and self-isolating if contact has been
made with a positive case.
