10 more people have died with coronavirus
in Wales, reports Public Health Wales (PHW). There
have been 5,452 deaths with Covid
reported to PHW since the start of the pandemic. Another 217 cases have also been reported, taking the total number of
positive tests to 206,405. The
seven-day coronavirus case rate in Wales is currently 39 cases per 100,000
people.
3 of the deaths were in the Cardiff and Vale Health Board area, 2 more deaths in both the Powys and Aneurin Bevan Health Board areas. Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board area, Hywel Dda and Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board areas each reported 1 death.
Merthyr Tydfil continues to have the highest rate of
Covid cases in Wales, with 126 cases
per 100,000 people in the last week,
followed by Anglesey 84.2 and Conwy 73.4. Ceredigion 6.9 has the lowest number of cases followed by Pembrokeshire 14.3 and Monmouthshire 15.9.
