Another 4 people
have died with coronavirus in Wales, reports Public Health Wales. The number of deaths now has reached 5,467 reported
to PHW since the start of the pandemic. Another 297 cases have
also been reported, taking the total number of positive tests to 207,237.
The seven-day coronavirus case rate now stands at 43 for
every 100,000 people.
The case rate in Merthyr Tydfil continues to rise, up from 155.8 on Wednesday to 159.1 per 100,000 people as of Thursday, with the community again having the highest case rate in Wales. The second highest case rate for Wales is in Anglesey, where it has reached 127.1. For local authority areas, Ceredigion 6.9 has the lowest number of cases followed by Monmouthshire 13.7.
The number of people who have
received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine now stands at 1,180,155, with 307,411 having had both doses.
