One further death with Covid in Wales in the past 24 hours reports
Public Health Wales. It means the total number of deaths reported to the health
body is now at 5,507. A further 60 cases have been
reported, taking the total number of positive tests to 209,345. The
death was reported by the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The
seven-day rolling case rate per 100,000 people has dropped
slightly to 36.8, compared to 37.6 previously
reported.
Merthyr Tydfil still has the highest case rate although it has fallen slightly to 121.0 from 132.6 cases per 100,000 people, followed by Anglesey, down to 108.5 from 112.8 and then Swansea where the rate has risen to 71.7 from 65.2. The three areas with the lowest rates are Ceredigion on 5.5, Bridgend on 14.3 and Powys on 14.3.
Public Health Wales (PHW) said a further 13,473 people have
now received a first vaccination and the total now stands at 1,427,183. Another 13,921 people received a second vaccination, taking the total
number of people who are now fully vaccinated to 437,937.
