Start of a new month...gatherings increase and the number of cases escalates...Rocket Science...?

April 1st today, the number of increased cases since yesterday has jumped considerably, please continue to follow the safety guidelines so that we have many more days with no families losing loved ones to this deadly and destructive pandemic that has cost so many lives up until now. Mass meet ups in parks and beaches will not be helpful to the annihilation of Covid-19 it will only increase the chances of a third wave…You have been warned…!!!


Another two deaths of patients with Covid have been reported by Public Health Wales in the past 24 hours. It means the total number of deaths reported to Public Health Wales (PHW) since the pandemic began in March 2020, stands at 5,509. The two latest deaths were reported by Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board area, which covers the whole of North Wales. A further 188 cases have been reported, taking the total number of positive tests to 209,532. The seven-day rolling case rate per 100,000 people has dropped slightly to 35 compared to 36.8 previously.

Merthyr Tydfil still has the highest case rate over the past seven days, although it has fallen from 121.0 to 97.8 cases per 100,000 people, followed by Anglesey, down to 97.1 from 108.5 then Swansea where the rate remained at 71.7. The three areas with the lowest rates are Ceredigion on 4.1, Powys on 13.6 and Bridgend on Bridgend on 15.6.

PHW said a further 16,702 people have now received a first vaccination and the total now stands at 1,443,885. A further 11,601 people received a second vaccination, taking the total number of people who are now fully vaccinated to 449,538.
