St Valentines Day...15 more families will be saying goodbye to loved ones...

Another 15 people have died with coronavirus in Wales, reports Public Health Wales (PHW).Now the total number of Covid-related deaths in Wales is 5,121. There have been a further 394 cases reported,  Wales' case rate falling to 95 cases for every 100,000 people.


The new deaths, 5 were recorded in the Cardiff and Vale Health Board area, 3 deaths in the Hywel Dda Health Board area in West Wales. There were also 2 deaths in the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board area in North Wales, 2 in the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board area in South-East Wales and 2 recorded in the Swansea Bay Health Board area, 1 death was recorded in the Powys Health Board area.


 

Wrexham, with 169.9 cases per 100,000 people, and Flintshire 146.7, still have the highest case rates in Wales, although both reported falls in recent days. Ceredigion continues to have the lowest case rate in Wales at 27.5 per 100,000 people, followed by Pembrokeshire 46.9, Monmouthshire 59.2 and Denbighshire 70. Wales' overall case rate, which measures the number of new cases over seven days per 100,000 people, continues to fall, down to 95 from 99.

 

Another 22,000 people have received their first Covid vaccine dose, taking the total to 771,651. 2nd Covid jab doses have been given to 4,573 people.
