Another 27 people have died with
coronavirus in Wales, reports Public Health Wales (PHW). It takes the total number of Covid-related deaths in Wales to 5,059. There have been a further 410 cases reported, with Wales' overall
case rate falling to 107 cases for
every 100,000 people.
Of the new deaths, 6 were recorded in the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board area in North
Wales and 6 in the Cwm Taf Morgannwg
Health Board area in south-east Wales. 4
deaths were also reported in Hywel Dda Health Board in west Wales, also 4 in Cardiff and Vale Health Board.
28,678 more people have received their first Covid vaccine
dose, taking the total to 684,097. Second
Covid jab doses have been given to 3,795
people.
Wrexham, with 206.7 cases per 100,000 people and Flintshire with 187.7, still have the highest case rates in Wales, although both reported falls in Thursday's figures. Ceredigion continues to have the lowest case rate in Wales at 46.8 per 100,000 people, closely followed by Pembrokeshire 59.6 and Swansea 65.6.
