Vaccinations are on their way...

With 2021 fast approaching please remember the immense effort the NHS, Social Care staff and the host of key workers have given during the last nine months, and for the overwhelming charge on services going forward in the unknown timescale that this pandemic will be present in everyone’s lives... without their hard work and commitment life would be even more despondent for many many people...

The good news announced today is that the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine has been approved for use in the UK, with the first doses due to be given on Monday amid rising coronavirus cases. The UK has ordered 100 million doses - enough to vaccinate 50 million people. This will cover the entire population, when combined with the full order of the Pfizer-BioNTech jab.

The light at the end of that long tunnel became a little bit brighter today and as long as the vaccination programme is carried out correctly and without delay then 2021 may well be the turning point in the lives of many in Wales and the rest of the UK.
