It is now less than 2 weeks until Christmas and when the latest statistics are released please remember the number of deaths reported will be people’s beloved family members and friends. Every single person that has sadly passed away from this dreadful virus in those statistics had loved ones, a life lost. Each number is a lost father, mother, grandparent, sister, brother, son, daughter, friend, person.

Everyone lost would have had an important role in someone’s life.  All were inspirational to their families and stories about these wonderful people are really too many to tot up, but the pain felt by loved ones is unmistakable.

Looking at the graph below there is no respite in Wales from this deadly virus, the Welsh Government can promote the most extensive of guidelines and close all the businesses but if the population is not going to take heed of the advice we will never experience a normal everyday life that I and many thousands of the older generations have had since birth.

It is up to everyone to play their part to bring about the end to this pandemic surrounding our shores.

Here are today's number from Public Health Wales...

Another 33 deaths registered and as the number of cases rise, Swansea Bay University Health Board has postponed some surgery and outpatient appointments...
