Tis getting very close to Christmas, the number of cases is rising daily and families are still losing loved ones, but if you leave your home and look around there are many that are still not taking this situation seriously. The lack of masks, the ignorance of using sanitisers when going into shops, the disregard by many of social distancing it is no wonder the numbers are rising.
Until everyone, in every town and county of Wales starts to accept that this pandemic takes no prisoners then I am afraid that it will never disappear and that long awaited light at the end of that very long tunnel will never get any closer and many will never see the daylight of 2021.
The introduction of the vaccine will hopefully halt the number of deaths and give everyone’s lives a reboot to the usual operating mode. I do hope that the programme to vaccinate the population follows the plan set out by the respective devolved nations and that living a life to what we are accustomed to returns, but I am sure that many will never forget 2020 and the total absence of caring and empathy for hardship amongst the communities will never return.
With renewed hope and fortitude we all can look forward to a new year 2021 with aspirations of a better daily life.
