Is life is getting a little easier...? The numbers seem to indicate so...long may it continue to improve...


There have been 899 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 816,969. There were 11 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths has risen to 7,012The latest infection rate based on PCR tests for the seven days up to February 26 is now 158.7 cases for every 100,000 people a fall from the 169.4 cases recorded on Wednesday. The area of Wales with the highest infection rate for the seven days up to February 26 was Vale of Glamorgan with 205.1 followed by Cardiff with 198.4 and Carmarthenshire with 198.1.

Hywel Dda Health Board shows 98 cases reported today with 54 in Carmarthenshire, 36 in Pembrokeshire and 8 in Ceredigion. As of February 28 out of 363 patients in acute hospitals with Covid there were only 77 people actively being treated for Covid in Wales.
