There have been 1,352 new cases of coronavirus reported today by PHW bringing the total cases to 805,836. There were 4 coronavirus deaths reported by PHW so the total number of deaths rises to 6,935. The latest infection rate based on PCR tests for the seven days up to February 12 now stands at 299.9 cases for every 100,000 people a reduction from the 309.2 cases recorded on Wednesday. The local authority with the highest infection rate for the seven days up to February 11 was Ceredigion with 482.8 followed by Carmarthenshire with 392.5 and Cardiff with 369.6.
Hywel Dda Health Board shows 218 cases reported today with 102 in Carmarthenshire, 55 in Pembrokeshire and 61 in Ceredigion. February 11, there were 94 people in acute hospitals actively being treated for Covid in Wales out of 341 patients in acute hospitals with Covid.
